My dad brought to my attention the fact that Apple wasn't the manufacturer of MP3 players.
I made my first MP3 player purchase of $99 for a whole gig - singular - of memory.
"How in the world will I ever fill that up?"
Ha.
I've upgraded through the years, but I've never had an iPod, partly because whenever Apple comes out with a new thing, there's really not a significant difference between the new model and the old model for the most part.
But, eventually, my lovely little PC started to fail, so I got an iPad for school.
Gotta admit, that sliver of metal and glass blew all the competition away, overpriced as it was in my opinion.
And it pretty much shot my whole "all Apple products are easily breakable" thing out of the water, because that thing has fallen off my bed so many times it's not even funny. Not that I'd want to push my luck, though.
Maybe all my friends with iPhones are just a little rough. All I know is I've dropped my trusty little Galaxy about 20 times, and I've not nary a scratch to show for it. Yet.
I used to be all "Oh, Windows and Google is awesome!!1!" but lately, I've had cause to reconsider.
Google+.
Like, what even.
Google, stop trying to make it a thing by forcingYouTubers to use it.
Please.
And linking all this junk together is just really annoying. I understand it's supposed to make things seamless and easier, but let us unlink things if we want to, mmkay?
Now for the Windows.
*takes deep breath*
I have used Windows ever since I could click.
The first time I ever touched a Mac, it took me a good 10 minutes to just close a window.
Add to that the high Mac prices, and I was just never too keen on them.
But then a friend told me that OS upgrades were always free.
Hold up; that's really something.
Like $550 for Windows 8? No thanks. I don't even want to use it. And let's not even talk about Vista.
All things considered, I still don't think I would get a Mac. Just not my thing. If you're an artist of any type, I've heard it's really worth it, but I'm not, so it wouldn't be.
However, I have considered Ubuntu. It looks pretty Mac-ish, but it's free. . .
And while I love my iPad, I hate, hate, hate iTunes with the fury of 1,000 suns. So counterintuitive.
And all things considered, I suppose I can't get too mad at Google for doing what they like with their product that I'm not paying for.
So I take it back.
. . . Most of it.
