High Five for Friday

As y'all may or may not know, Lauren Elizabeth has a fantastic link-up in which you can share the best five things that have happened to you or that you've done in the past week.

1. My friend Meredith and I dyed our respective hairs last night!
Hers became a beautiful chocolate.
She said I look like Lava Girl.
That should give you an idea.
And for the record, yes, my hair was supposed to be red.
2. This wasn't this week, but that week I ranted and raved about? It's over and done with.
Thank GOD.
And also, there were cupcakes.
3. My friend SJ and I went to Columbia yesterday to go "politicking".
I'm interning with Lee Bright's US Senate campaign, and there was a hearing on the Personhood bill he's sponsoring.
It was all really fascinating to see politics in motion, and the State House is just gorgeous.
That, and the two of us walked around staring at all the giant buildings like the country girls we are.
4. While I haven't done it yet, I'm just about to go buy some new running shoes. My ankle and knees have been killing me lately, and my running shoes I bought last year are sufficiently worn out.
It's kind of sad to see them go, but I get to break in new ones!
Oddly enough, I hate shoe shopping, but I'm really excited about this!
5. I got a job writing for Eat Sleep Play Beaufort!!
I have always wanted a job writing, and now I've got one!
