I vote for the movie.
That being said, a friend told me eons ago to read this book, and I've just now gotten around to it.
I loved this book mostly because it was so well-written, but also because it raises a lot of - what I considered - political questions about control and choice. Very interesting.
There was this one huge, gaping hole of information, though, and I'm not sure if it ends up being answered in the other three books (which I don't plan on reading because they don't seem to tie in), but if someone has read them and could drop some hints, I'd be eternally grateful.
