To be perfectly honest, I gained about 6 pounds over three or four days, and I was sorta kinda usually counting calories.
I know, I know, not all calories are created equal.
But the good thing is, I'm pretty much back to where I was before we left.
Actually, I may have lost some more, which is cool, because I really didn't think "confusing your metabolism" worked, but maybe it does.
From what I understand, confusing your metabolism is when you hit that plateau where you don't seem to lose any weight for a long time and you sorta binge once - not horribly - but enough to force your metabolism to work harder to burn it off, presumably torching a bit more than usual for a while, making you lose a little more and start on down the hill again.
I was never really sure that was a good idea, but I guess now I see it couldn't hurt.
But naturally, I'd have to try it again next time I hit that plateau...
