Now before y'all get all happy, what this really means is that I've lost all the cumulative Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years weight, so basically I'm right back to where I started.
Still, 5 pounds is 5 pounds, so. . .
But, I didn't lose it going to the gym (like I said I was going to), because I didn't go to the gym.
College and all that.
Basically, I just changed my diet.
I'm not actually dieting because:
1) counting calories takes too long and I lose track anyway. Also, rounding down is not suggested.
2) because I'm in classes all day, I don't really eat anything worth counting.
3) I'm budgeting, so I don't really buy stuff a whole lot, so there goes eating fast food.
(By the way, if fast food is something you're having a hard time giving up, watch Supersize Me. That'll cure you something awful.)
What I am doing is:
1) drinking a LOT more water. Or trying to. I hate water. Blech.
2) drinking less milk. Milk's great for you, but unfortunately, not a whole lot of it is.
3) eating fresher, lighter, more healthy things. Namely sushi, mushrooms, shrimp, bell peppers, guacamole, stuff like that.
(Oh, speaking of guacamole, I managed to complete one of my New Year's Resolutions!)
4) cutting out junk food most of the time. Deprivation is not the answer. All things in moderation. Have a few cheese puffs instead of half the bag. Have 2 Oreos instead of 8. (You know who you are *wink*.)
5) going to the gym finally. I'm in a weight training class, so we've finally gotten around to actually working out. I did that this morning and OUCH. You can really tell when you haven't worked out in a while, and it is not a fun feeling. At all.
But yeah, I think the ball is rolling now, and a rolling stone gathers no moss.
. . . Pretend that had something to do with weight. . .
