High Five for Friday

As y'all may or may not know, Lauren Elizabeth has a fantastic link-up in which you can share the best five things that have happened to you or that you've done in the past week.

For me, this is more than just a rushed diary entry: it's a way to count your blessings.
So.

1. There was a New Year's party with all the people from our Friday night Bible study.
It was a hysterical blast, though we were watching the Ball Drop online, and I think it was a minute late.
That was either because of the streaming or because we're just so ahead of the curve here in Beaufort.
. . . Probably the former.

2. I got my hair recolored.
I went over to a friend's house while another friend redyed my layers underneath.
It was fantastic fun that shan't be easily forgotten.
And we all danced to random music.
Certainly unforgettable, though I'm sure they wish they could forget mine.

3. I'm getting my senior pictures taken this afternoon.
All I really wanted was to update my Facebook picture because I don't have that awful blonde ombre look anymore, but then I realized that I could kill two birds with one stone.
The only downside is that it's about 30 degrees outside . . . but hey, at least I don't live somewhere where it feels like the surface of Mars, so I'm not complaining.
Too loudly, anyway.

4. I know, technically this hasn't happened yet, but I'm going shoe shopping tomorrow with a bride and the other bridesmaids.
I've never really been a huge fan of shopping, let alone shoe shopping, but I know this is going to be fun.
Thank God she's having us wear flats.

5. Last and definitely NOT least, Sherlock Series 3 premiered Sunday.
My friend and I about died.
Several times.
It was utterly incredible.
The only sad part is that it'll be over by the 12th.
Then, including the Christmas mini episode, Sherlock will boast a whole ten episodes.
We've hit the double digits.
We've arrived.
. . .
Curse you, BBC.
