I've lost about five pounds this week alone because of aerobics.
I'm sore all over, but that's a good thing.
And yes, I've been eating.
It's what I've been eating that has made the difference.
I think I knew this, but I probably didn't: after you work out, you're supposed to eat carbs and protein within two hours afterward.
Why?
Because when you exercise, your body needs to break something down for energy, specifically something made of protein.
If you're up to date on your human biology, that should kind of scare you, because muscles are mostly protein.
When you eat, you're giving your body something to burn other than itself.
Eventually it does burn the fat, yeah, but you've gotta get it going.
You can really tell the difference.
Low fat chocolate milk- the perfect mix of proteins and carbs for a post work out recovery drink.
ReplyDeleteYep! I might try it next week . . . I dunno.
